There are times in life when events shake you out of your routine life and make you think of others.

The tragic, sudden death of a friend and colleague is one of those times.

Campervan Dave added colour and character to our activities at the flying field and on the slopes and his passing will leave a hole in our hobby.

The amount of flying he did suggested that he wasn't in the club just for flying. I believe he was a member just as much for the company as for the flying and I hope the club gave him what he wanted. I personally benefited from his  friendship, his humour and the occasional smile.

My condolences go to his family and friends.

I will miss him, and his van chugging across the field!
