For those of you that might be interested, here's an aerial view of the new flying field.

Things to note are :

1. The railway line.
2. The parking area.
3. SMFC Committee member hard at work preparing the strip for use.

The still photos below show:

1. The 'sloping' field with cattle in it.
2. The electricity cable which just cuts across the field in the north east corner.
3. The view from above the strip towards the parking area with the out of bounds field beyond and the railway line in the distance.
4. Two Committee members making careful measurements to ensure the take off strip is accurate.
