The TE is 1.5mm ply with a piece of balsa strip laminated on top. The ribs sit on top of the ply and against the balsa strip. Its then sanded to profile.

Quote from SBowdler on May 6, 2019, 7:08 pmThe joiner box, which is not part of the standard design, is a 7mm OD aluminium tube inserted into and epoxied to the first 4 ribs and sandwiched between 1.5mm ply webs attached to the front and back of the spars, to form a box. Shown here before the rear webs where added. The central 1mm webs were omitted between these ribs and replaced by a 3mm strip of 1mm ply glued to the front of the rear spars.

Quote from SBowdler on May 6, 2019, 7:14 pmThe main spars, top and bottom, run the full span of the wing half. In the middle section of the wing, about 40% of the span, there are 1mm ply sheer webs attached to the front of the spars. When dry, as second set of cutouts are made in front of the webs and a second spar is glued in to make the spar in this area a T section. I made a very sophisticated tool to cut these cutouts!

These jigs are placed under the wing at certain places to ensure everything is straight and true during the top sheeting process. Before adding the top sheeting the wing is fairly soft in torsion. After adding the sheeting the wing is really rigid.
