Thought I would give my Viggen a quick test flight today before I finish decorating it,

unfortunately I forgot the connector lead so I could use my 4 cell batteries, will have to try that next time 😉

  1. That looks very sweet, what size 3 cell did you use? And what kind of all up weight did it end up, if you weighed it?
On the 4 cell that should be very nice.
The weather looks good too, its a shame I couldn’t make it.

    1. It is a shame you couldn’t make it mate, was a nice day. It was a 2200 3 cell I used.
Launched great with an under arm lob
All up weight before battery was 500 grammes, 30 of that paint ( I really need a sprayer lol ).
Can’t wait to try it on a 4 cell, should be nippy 🙂

  2. It was quite impressive Scott, and I must say reasonably quiet.
Depron rules when it comes to saving weight.
You are becoming very professional at putting your videos together.

    1. I have to admit it was quieter than most EDFs and sounded ace.
Using your method of fibreglassing the depron works a treat Mel, and really helps keeps the weight down on these bigger FT models, may try and make a light weight version of the F22, see how fast I can get that going 🙂
And thank you, the video’s are fun to do, just wish I could zoom cause the models look further away than they are lol
